Day 1 Arrival New York
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation on Fifth Avenue.
The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.
Day 2 New York
After breakfast, you’ll be escorted to the waterfront for a private cruise around the harbour, where you’ll see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island as well as views of the Manhattan skyline.
After lunch in Central Park, enjoy some of the iconic sights of New York, including the Empire State Building, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and Museum of Natural History.
Day 3 New York
Spend a day at leisure exploring New York at your own pace – perhaps you might like to explore the five distinct boroughs of the city. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can help plan activities that suit your needs prior to departure.
Day 4 New York
This morning you can head on an ethnic neighbourhood tour with a local guide. Choose between Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, where you can visit Greek, Italian, Polish, Dominican or Korean communities.
Enjoy an easy afternoon before a spectacular VIP Broadway experience. Sip cocktails with an actor from your favourite Broadway show before watching the show from VIP seats. Afterwards, head backstage where you’ll see the sets and costumes and meet members of the cast.
Day 5 New York
Your day begins with a tour of Manhattan accompanied by a top photojournalist, who’ll share their tips on taking great shots of this iconic city.
Enjoy an afternoon at leisure, perhaps browsing designer boutiques on Fifth Avenue or indulging in afternoon tea at Two E in The Pierre.
Day 6 New York - Washington DC
This morning, you’ll be transported to the station to catch the train to Washington DC’s Union Station. Upon arrival, you’ll be whisked to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure.
In the evening, your guide will take you on a Washington by Night tour, where you’ll visit the Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials, and see the exterior of the White House.
Day 7 Washington DC
This morning you’ll visit some of Washington DC’s top galleries and museums, including the National Gallery of Art, American Art Museum, and National Portrait Gallery.
After lunch, your guide will escort you on a private tour of the National Mall, home to the Washington Monument, US Capitol Building, Smithsonian Museums, and other national monuments and memorials.
Day 8 Washington DC
Today you have some different museums to explore. First the International Spy Museum, dedicated to espionage; and then the Newseum, a dynamic and interactive museum of news and current affairs.
Day 9 Washington DC - Boston
This morning, you’ll be escorted to the airport for the flight to Boston. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 10 Boston - Cambridge
After breakfast you’ll visit Harvard University in Cambridge. You’ll enjoy a tour of the campus of this prestigious Ivy League school, escorted by a current undergraduate student.
In the afternoon, you’ll explore Boston’s North End neighbourhood. An expert historian will accompany you and fill you in on four centuries of history.
Day 11 Boston - Departure
This morning you’ll have some free time to explore Boston, before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
